Never Too Late
It is never too late to work on wellness, weight-loss or anti-aging goals. I am 48 years old, and today I just did my first chin-up! A real one, from hanging all the way down to pulling all the way up, no cheating chin-up!
As I continue to work toward better health naturally, I have come alive with things that I want to do. Some are normal things of daily life that I now approach with vigor, some are bucket-list type things that are now more than dreams.
During much of my younger years, when we are supposedly in our prime, I didn’t really have the energy to make goals, and I never questioned why. I suppose I didn’t know I could feel better, therefore I didn’t make that a goal. But I want you to know that you can feel better, and if you are open to making some changes in how you care for your body, it will change your life!
So with renewed vitality, achieving a chin-up became a bucket-list thing for me. Even as a child I had never done a chin-up, and suddenly now I wanted to do it, could visualize it, believed it was possible, and began diligently working toward that goal.
I was so happy just working toward my goal, that I was willing to be patient. Through progressive training, I worked hard and saw how I was transforming my body: I was improving my strength, flexibility, agility, and endurance. I worked with an outstanding personal trainer at Planet Fitness, John Allen, and credit his superior skill, knowledge, focus and desire to teach others for much of my success. Thank you John!
Yes, it took time, 6 months! Maybe some people could have gotten there sooner, but that’s ok! I thought it would take me a year! The journey is what grows us stronger, both mentally and physically. It takes time to build stronger muscles, but it also takes time to refine and strengthen our character as well. Thank you also Dr. Stephen Cabral for bringing out my Success Mindset!
My desire is to reach out to as many people as I can, encouraging them along the way toward better health naturally, because It Is Never Too Late!
